Condos on Hutchinson Island

Ocean Village Beach Hutchinson Island

As prices continue to rise here in South Florida  for all properties including beachfront and oceanfront communities we are seeing a surge North into Hutchinson Island. For years many buyers found Hutchinson Island a bit to remote and to quiet. Times are changing as more venues including restaurants and shops are opening up in Jensen Beach and Stuart as well as Downtown Fort Pierce. The escalating prices in places like Boca Raton and Jupiter are pushing many buyers out of those areas. Oceanfront condos in Jupiter are starting at nearly $500,000 and this is buying you a  1970’s condo building that needs an updating inside. Before you know it you are at $600,000 for 1,300 sq. ft of oceanfront condo here in Palm Beach County.

Hutchinson Island Oceanfront Condos

Drive just 30-50 minutes North of Jupiter and you will find Hutchinson Island. Many of the oceanfront condos are 70’s style similar to Boca Raton and Jupiter but instead of $500,000 you are looking more at $300,000. That is a dramatic difference for a 30 minute ride North of Jupiter. Yes affordable oceanfront living is still possible in Hutchinson Island. Places like Ocean Village  in Fort Pierce will have oceanfront condos built in 2004 with 9 ft ceilings starting in the high $300’s.  This condo in Jupiter would be $600,000 all day long if you could find it. There are still several Hutchinson Island ocean condos available under $300,000 with beautiful ocean views.
